This 20 minute film was made with Aaron Sloan who did the interviews of Andy Warhol and his crew making their only "surfing" film. It was made at a beach house in La Jolla, California. I did the camera work and editing. When Andy's film was in the can he and his gang returned to the "factory" in New York. Andy was shot and nearly killed soon after he arrived and never got back to the unfinished surfing film.
SAM MALOOF MAKES A ROCKING CHAIR
This film shows Sam at work performing every skill used to make his famous rocking chairs. I made dozens of trips to his home and shop to put it all on film. The film includes scenes with Alfreda, his wife and his family and Sam shooting hoops in the driveway with grand kids. The film is now in the archives of the Maloof Foundation.
